Well, my co-worker's 3 1/2-year old daughter whose name is Zoe drew a few animals with me together and she asked me if I could turn the drawings into cartoon like the one I made previously. I said I'll try.
But on my way back home, I thought about this seriously. If kids like to draw and if they see their drawings that can run wild and flip and disappear and come back to life in the cartoon, wouldn't that make their childhood fantasies go wild? I think they'd be incredibly proud of themselves and keep doing more drawings.
Kid's minds are amazing, and their drawings, personally I think carry the best imaginations that adults have lost long ago, so no matter how simple or sophisticated their drawings are, they can be turned into something even better, I think the attached movie proves it, unless you disagree.
Well, here it's, a 45-second movie to illustrate my point, and how I turn her drawings, or I should say our drawings, into an animation. Although it's short, it has taken me 4 hours or so to finish, anyway... Enjoy!

animation video
It works!
However, the size of the video got shrunk further in terms of the dimension, about 30 percent smaller. Also, the quality is not as good as I would have expected, more blurry than the original one. Having said that, everything is free here and what can I complain...

Le rat voyageur
I finally figure out how to turn my Flash animation into a QuickTime movie with a size small enough to post it on this blog. Well, actually 30 Mb is not considered small, but at least not over 100 Mb, the max. size you can upload in this blog. And it looks like the Blogger has reduce it to its allowed dimension, so I don't know how good it is as far as the quality goes. Well, I'll find out once I publish the post.

see my animation
This is my first serious animation I've ever done. Actually I meant to put all of my design, illustrations, and paintings on my own website, but since I got so many personal projects on hands, they're just for fun. I really need a channel in the cyber space to show some of my works temporarily. So the blogspot came in handy.
